Cocteau Twins Picture
One of the most innovative post-punkbands of the 1980s, Cocteau Twinsbuilt a sound based on woozy atmospherics and singer Elizabeth Fraser's utterly unmatchable vocals, most of which featured lyrics of made-up words, words plucked at random from the dictionary, and her native gaelic, which varied strongly in pitch in minimal times, drawing comparison with acclaimed singer Maria Callas. Essence Lyrics

Cocteau Twins

I dont have to be specific when I wanna hug you
You had a natural right to be born to become
Yes having my small niece(heaven must at least) becomes (so) acceptable to me
Id feel angry had I lost you and cant imagine where you might be
Where do baby leaves go when they die
Oh, why I do not mourn
God is a feeling of loving yourself
Youre precious to me, you know that
Stretch in your arms
Wrap em round tight
Loving myself
With all my might
Where do baby leaves go when they die
Oh, why I do not mourn
God is a feeling of loving yourself
Youre precious to me, you know that
Take a look inside youll see
See how Im doing
A message, something says to me
Tells me Im right
So you want a potion to send me away
Daddy, my love, cannot get in today
